If you are after a shorter title with a bit of stealth and puzzle work, you could do far worse. The story: Live the story of Sally, a little girl living in Bethelwood. GYLT is a narrative adventure game with puzzles, stealth and action, set in a fictional old mining town in the state of Maine. It does not overstay its welcome, it’s good on the eye and does stir up some emotion here and there. Developer: Tequila Works, Parallel Circles. However, combat aside, I enjoyed it a fair bit. Rime developer Tequila Works' next game, a singeplayer puzzler called Gylt, was announced earlier this month as a Google Stadia exclusiveyou can watch the trailer here. Gylt will not set anyone’s world on fire. The whole thing made me feel lonely and lost and I think that’s definitely what the developers were going for. I thought the voice acting was of a decent level and everything tied together to keep you invested in this world. On the sound front, as I have mentioned previously, I found the music helped increase the feeling of being trapped in a horrible place perfectly. The eerie art style and the dank sound work really made the entire presentation shine. It has an almost-Tim Burton-like vibe that really accentuated the grim presentation the game was shooting for. So, while there are no specifics on what platforms or when “Gylt” might arrive, there is at least confirmation that the first Stadia exclusive will find new life on additional platforms in the future.Graphically, like the other Tequila Works games, the game has a defined cartoon-like art style that I found charming. “Spooky season is around the corner… And we bring terrific news! We’ve been working on it for a long time and it’s finally time to make it official: GYLT is going multiplatform in 2023!įollow the official Tequila Works’ channels on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn for updates on GYLT and for more exciting news from the studio.” Where Rime was full of gorgeous sun-baked scenery, Gylt is all about darkness and fear. On October 4, Tequila Works shared a quick blurb in its news section, letting fans know a bit about the future of the game: Alongside Gylt, the developer are also working on a video game sequel to Groundhog Day. That is until I went a bit deeper and checked developer Tequila Works’ website. And where other developers had put in place some contingency plans for players looking to move to other platforms, news on the “Gylt” front seemed non-existent. 4:31 pm PT Following the abrupt shutdown of Google Stadia, there have been a whole lot of questions and not quite enough answers regarding the future of the platform’s few exclusive. The game’s website looked untouched since its release, and its social channels hadn’t been updated since 2021. Like Rime, Tequila Works most notable work, Gylt will be a narrative exploration game. The wiki about Gylt that anyone can edit. During the grower phase, attention must rely on. Gilt development success starts in selecting gilts heavier than 1 kg at birth, prioritizing colostrum and milk intake, and weaning at 24 d of age or older. Three years on, the game is still exclusive to Google Stadia, so when Google announced it was sunsetting the platform in September, I wondered if the game would be lost along with the Google service. Gylt was announced at the Stadia Connect event before E3. Proper gilt development influences offspring performance and survivability by increasing gilt longevity and colostrum and milk production. While there is nothing groundbreaking about “Gylt,” and it isn’t without its flaws, it was a game I enjoyed playing and wished more people had the opportunity to experience. During the chase, you fall into a ditch and, in an attempt to find a way home, wind up in a nightmarish alternate reality where you quickly discover your cousin now resides. You start the game posting missing posters around your hometown of Bethelwood before being chased away by a group of bullies. In it, you play as Sally, a young girl in search of her cousin Emily. I shared my review of the game back in 2020, but essentially, “Gylt” is a horror adventure game that mixes action, stealth, and environmental puzzles in a fantastical world that is both beautiful and dark. One of the draws for me beyond the concept of Stadia was an exclusive launch title called “Gylt.” I was an early adopter, purchasing a Founders Edition of the service when it was first announced, though admittedly, the novelty of it quickly wore off. Surviving just over three years, the service just never gained the traction Google hoped it would. Google’s cloud gaming platform Stadia is set to shut down on January 18, 2023.
